The Art of PenTesting

What is a Penetration Test?

A PenTest seeks to evaluate the security of any IT/Network infrastructure by exploiting vulnerabilities, in an attempt to simulate how a malicious individual or group may gain unauthorized access to sensitive client and personnel information. Vulnerabilities exist in the form of application flaws, security policy oversight, configuration errors and even human error.

Why Perform PenTests?

Any breach in network security, especially within Information Technology can be extremely damaging, both financially and in the client's trust in your organization. History has shown that organizations that have sustained breaches into client and sensitive information spend exponentially more in damage control, compared to the cost of prevention. While most organizations will install various layers of defense mechanisms to deter breaches, new approaches and methodologies of attacking network security and stealing or damaging sensitive data are developed on a daily basis.
A PenTest evaluates an organization's ability to protect important and sensitive client information. A vulnerable organization is an easy target for credit fraud and loss of sensitive information. Once a network is breached, the organization is no longer in control of sensitive information.

By adopting the practice of regular PenTests, organizations can better protect their clients as well as anticipate and respond to emerging security risks. Contact us for a free no-obligation security consultation with our cyber security experts.

Why Choose Toggle?

Our experienced engineers are certified in CEH, Security+, OSCP and various other credentials. We are the trusted consultants for organizations including Monument police department, Colorado Springs police department in addition to law firms, medical practices in aspects of HIPAA compliance, and more.

We never outsource our network security resources and we believe that in-person management is the most critical component in ensuring accuracy network security control.

In the industry, an average Penetration Test starts at around $40,000 per test. These assessments typically include an external, internal, physical and social engineering test.

Here at Toggle, our tests start at around $10,000. The reason we are able to start our costs much lower is due to the fact that we are a smaller firm based locally in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Instead of relying on expensive licenses and software to spit out preliminary results, our security engineers will invest time and effort into every case we take on. Software works well, however, they unfortunately lack the intuition and dynamic mindset of our trained offensive and defensive security engineers.

We do not charge per unit, but per organizational location, allowing us to dedicate as much time and resources as necessary to ensure a full and complete assessment, followed up by a comprehensive maintenance package.
